Dolní Vítkovice comprises the former industrial area of the Hlubina mine, the coking plants and the blast furnaces of the Vítkovice ironworks. The complex is a unique industrial monument and an unmistakable symbol of both Ostrava and the whole Moravian-Silesian region. As part of the Architecture Days, the guiding tour goes beyond the usual routes and focuses on architecture. Reservation necessary, can be obtained in the booking system of Dolní Vítkovice from the end of August 2014.
